I visited a friend who works in a wonderful “end-of-the-garden-purpose-built-office” the other day and was truly shocked at the stacks of papers, books, files, DVDs, stationery and projects littered on floor, shelves and every possible space. If you work alone maybe you can put up with that kind of disorganised office, but in an office with larger numbers of workers it could never work.
Any business should have clearly defined roles, from secretarial support to IT, Managing Directors to Accountants. As far as the latter goes, there are many online or high street payroll companies that can be engaged to pay all staff accurately and on time, leaving the firm free to concentrate on running their growing business.
